Your support and contributions will enable us to improve the lives and conditions for all the gentle giants under our support. ~ Thank You ~
You can sponsor a gentle giant elephant (below) for as little as $50.00 (USD). That breaks down to only $0.97/week.
Each elephant requires 8 sponsors/month; a total of $400.00 (USD). That is 96 sponsors/year; a total of $4,800.00.
A general donation of any amount can be made above.
Your sponsorship will include a 'frame worthy' Sponsorship Certificate, a special photo of your sponsored elephant & a "Gentle Giants Elephant personalized sponsorship badge"; which you may use as your social media profile picture.
By sponsoring an elephant, you are helping to ensure these gentle ones will be able to stay in their own habitats with their herd. As well as, helping their mahouts (caretakers) stay in their villages with their families; earning fair wages. Everyone living a happier, peace-fuller, & freer life, out of the grueling & abusive tourist/logging industries.
~ Thank You for your compassion for these gentle ones ~
IMPORTANCE OF THE MAHOUT
A Mahout is the most important person in the life of an elephant, that is living in any form of captivity in Asia. They are the ones who tend to all the needs of the elephants and are who know them the best. From being able to tell when the elephant is not comfortable, is tired, or hungry; to when they are not feeling well. All of this makes the mahout's job extremely important. Sadly, for a very long time, their hard work has gone unrecognized. The mahouts are made to work long hours with very little pay. They are also forced to leave their homes and families behind. This is why, at Gentle Giants Elephants, we are committed to pay the mahouts who work in our program(S) fair wages. We want them to be able to, not only support their families, but not have to leave them and their village homes behind.
